Storyline

The story kicks off when interstellar mercenary Freja Akiyama crash-lands her ship, the Ouroboros, onto a beautiful but extremely deadly alien world. Your main goal is pretty straightforward: fight your way through vicious native wildlife and rogue mechanical security drones to find your distress beacon and escape. However, death is not the end of your journey. Thanks to the ship's state-of-the-art cloning bay, every time Freja is killed, she is simply reprinted into a brand-new body, allowing you to slowly piece together the dark mysteries of the hostile planet across countless brutal lifetimes.

gaming experience.

When you actually jump into the action, the gameplay is incredibly tight and satisfying. What really makes it special is the DNA mutation mechanic. Instead of just grabbing new guns or standard level-ups, you actually harvest DNA from the enemies you defeat and splice it into your next clone after you die. This means you can literally spawn into your next run with horrifying alien tentacles, acidic blood, or massive stat boosts that completely change how you approach combat. Combine that with a massive arsenal of futuristic weapons and smooth, chaotic firefights, and you get a brutally fun experience that makes every single death feel like a fresh start.
