If you are looking for a fantastic Metroidvania to add to your library of PC games, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an absolute blast that brings the classic franchise back to its side-scrolling roots. Ubisoft really knocked it out of the park with this one, blending lightning-fast combat with some seriously clever platforming. Instead of a massive 3D open world, you get a tightly designed, highly stylized 2.5D map that runs incredibly smooth on almost any PC setup. It feels highly nostalgic but plays like a modern masterpiece, making it a must-have for anyone who loves exploring huge, trap-filled maps and fighting challenging bosses.
Storyline
The narrative throws you into the boots of Sargon, a young and cocky warrior who is part of an elite fighting group called the Immortals. When the prince of Persia gets kidnapped, your squad rushes to the legendary Mount Qaf to save him, but things quickly go completely off the rails. You discover that the citadel is cursed and time itself is twisted and broken, meaning you will run into different versions of characters and crazy mythological beasts. It is a fun, action-packed mystery that keeps pushing you forward as you try to unravel exactly what happened to this doomed, time-bending place.

Jumping into the gameplay, this is where the title truly shines among other action PC games. The controls are incredibly snappy, which is perfect because you will be stringing together flashy sword combos, air juggles, and super satisfying parries that feel straight out of a fighting game. As you explore, you unlock cool time-manipulating powers that let you warp around and solve some seriously brain-teasing platforming puzzles. It can get pretty tough, but the game is very forgiving with checkpoints and even lets you pin screenshots directly to your map so you never forget where a hidden treasure is.
