Let's be real, sometimes you just want to turn off your brain and play something completely ridiculous. That is exactly where Squirrel with a Gun steps in. Developed by Maximum Entertainment, this game is exactly what it sounds like, and it is absolutely glorious. In a massive sea of super serious PC games that demand hundreds of hours of your time, this title is a breath of fresh, chaotic air. It takes a completely absurd premise—a normal neighborhood squirrel finding actual firearms—and turns it into an incredibly entertaining sandbox. If you love titles that prioritize pure, goofy fun over everything else, you definitely need to check this out.
Storyline
As you might guess, the plot here is not exactly trying to win any deep storytelling awards. You play as a curious neighborhood squirrel who stumbles upon a secret underground facility and, naturally, gets its tiny paws on military-grade weaponry. Suddenly, you are on the run from a bunch of mysterious, suited-up Agents who desperately want their guns back. Your main goal? Survive the neighborhood, terrorize the local residents, steal their snacks, and cause as much unhinged property damage as physically possible. It is a wonderfully silly setup that gives you the perfect excuse to unleash total mayhem on a peaceful suburban town.
Gaming Experience
The gameplay is a hilarious mix of platforming, puzzle-solving, and completely unbalanced third-person shooting. The coolest mechanic is how you use the weapons for movement. You can literally fire a submachine gun at the ground to use the weapon's recoil as a makeshift jetpack, launching yourself onto high rooftops or dodging enemy attacks. The physics are intentionally bouncy and goofy, turning every gunfight with the Agents into a slapstick comedy routine. Exploring the sandbox to find hidden cosmetic outfits, collect golden acorns, and unlock bigger guns is wildly addictive. It guarantees non-stop laughs from the second you pull your very first trigger.
