Storyline
The plot here is wonderfully simple and completely absurd. You step into the shaky, uncoordinated hands of Nigel Burke, an ordinary guy who somehow finds himself in the role of a top-tier surgeon without any actual qualifications. There is no deep cinematic narrative or emotional lore to follow; instead, the story is entirely driven by the ridiculous situations Nigel gets thrown into. You start off doing standard procedures like heart and kidney transplants in a sketchy operating room, but the narrative quickly escalates. Before you know it, you are performing brain surgery in the back of a moving ambulance and even operating on an alien in zero gravity out in space.
Gaming experience
When you actually boot it up, the gaming experience is defined entirely by its intentionally terrible controls. You have to control Nigel's hand by mapping your keyboard keys to his individual fingers while swinging your mouse around to move his arm. It sounds like a complete nightmare, and honestly, it is, but that is exactly where the fun lies. Every simple task becomes a massive, unpredictable challenge. You will accidentally drop your wristwatch into a patient's chest cavity, smash ribs with a hammer, and knock important life-saving tools off the table. It is frustratingly addictive, making it one of the most memorable and entertaining physics benders you can install on your rig.
