Storyline
The episodic narrative mode, known as Wintermute, kicks off with a massive, mysterious geomagnetic disaster that completely fries all electronics and brings planes crashing down from the sky. You play as bush pilot Will Mackenzie, who gets separated from his passenger, Dr. Astrid Greenwood, after their plane goes down in the snowy mountains of Great Bear Island. Your main objective is to track her down, but the story quickly evolves as you stumble across abandoned towns and desperate survivors who need your help.
