If you are craving a fast-paced hack-and-slash adventure to add to your collection of PC Games, Ultra Age is a title you definitely need to check out. Set in a visually striking, post-apocalyptic sci-fi world, this game brings the high-octane combat of classic action games right to your screen. It ignores the slow pace of many modern RPGs and throws you straight into the chaos with a massive sword. It’s an absolute blast for anyone who just wants to unleash devastating combos and enjoy pure, unfiltered action without getting bogged down by super complicated mechanics.

Storyline

The game is set in the year 3174, long after Earth has been ruined by a massive ecological disaster that split humanity into two struggling factions. You step into the shoes of Age, a young, fierce warrior who drops down to the ruined planet from a space colony called the Orbital Arc. Accompanied by his floating, smart-talking android buddy named Helvis, Age is on a critical mission to save mankind from total extinction. As you explore the overgrown ruins and abandoned futuristic facilities left behind, you quickly uncover a much deeper, darker conspiracy concerning the ultimate fate of the planet.

Gaming experience

Playing Ultra Age is all about speed and ridiculously satisfying combat. The gameplay revolves around dynamically switching between a variety of different blades mid-combo, with each sword having its own unique strengths against specific mutants or robotic enemies. You can use your wire-pull ability to quickly zip across the battlefield, dodge incoming attacks, and stay aggressively in the enemy's face. The weapon durability system also adds a really fun twist, letting you intentionally shatter your sword for a massive, high-damage finishing move before instantly swapping to a fresh one. It is smooth, frantic, and deeply rewarding once you master the rhythm.
