If you are tired of overly serious strategy titles and just want to blow stuff up, Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is precisely the wild ride you need. Developed by Rogueside, this frantic 2D run-and-gun platformer trades the usual grimdark drama of the 40k universe for pure, unadulterated Ork chaos. It is a fantastic palate cleanser for anyone looking to add some explosive arcade fun to their library of PC Games. Whether you are a hardcore fan of the franchise or just someone who loves classic metal-slug-style shooters, this game gives you the perfect excuse to strap on a ridiculous amount of firepower and start blasting your way through hordes of enemies with a massive grin on your face.
Storyline
The plot is beautifully ridiculous and captures the hilarious, brute-force mentality of the Orks perfectly. You step into the heavy metal boots of Gargaz Teefgrabba, a furious Ork who has just been betrayed by his own Warboss, Ogruk Gutrekka. The ultimate, unforgivable crime? Gutrekka stole your favorite hair squig. Driven by pure spite and a thirst for revenge, you crash-land on the hive city of Luteus Prime. From there, it is an absolute bloodbath as you fight your way through the heavily armed Astra Militarum, creepy Genestealer Cults, and rival Orks just to take back your prized pet and show everyone who the real boss is.
gaming experience.
When it comes to the gameplay, it is all about fast-paced mayhem set to an incredibly hyped heavy metal soundtrack. You get access to a wildly oversized arsenal of weapons, letting you switch between flamethrowers, rocket launchers, and heavy machine guns on the fly to match whatever meat shield is in front of you. Running this on modern rigs makes the hand-drawn, comic-book art style pop beautifully, running much smoother and more responsively than many heavier PC Games out there. The absolute best part is the chaotic four-player co-op mode, where you and your buddies can team up locally or online to turn the screen into a glorious mess of explosions, bullets, and screaming Orks.
