Storyline
You play as Dust, an amnesiac warrior who wakes up in a lush forest with absolutely no clue who he is or how he got there. Luckily, you are not alone on this journey. You are quickly joined by the mythical Blade of Ahrah—a sentient, talking sword—and its sassy guardian, a tiny flying creature named Fidget who constantly drops hilarious comic relief. Together, this bizarre trio sets off across the stunning world of Falana to uncover Dust’s mysterious past. The narrative starts off feeling like a lighthearted Saturday morning cartoon but gradually dives into surprisingly deep themes of war and redemption that will actually have you emotionally invested by the end.
Gaming experience
The combat here is ridiculously fun and fluid. It is basically a fast-paced Metroidvania mixed with a hack-and-slash brawler, meaning you will spend plenty of time juggling monsters in the air and chaining together massive combos.
